Apparently VIP are out on 966 & 72 tonight

VIP have 16 discs under VIP (PD0001724) and 12 discs under SS Raju (PD1027493). It is possible that the limited company is in trouble, but the sole trader company isn't or vice versa restricting the number of vehicles that can be on the road

Central Buses status @ Facebook:

We will be operating Service 650 between Birmingham City Centre and Kings Heath tomorrow after the current operator suspended services today. The service will operate free of charge to all passengers

More than likely because the service isn't registered to be operated by Central Buses, so they can't take fares until it is if it becomes permanent

Nathan4775

Oh I see, I have quite a bit to learn still so thanks winston

That's similar to what happened to A2Z on the 301 isn't it?

When A2Z went bump, Diamond went on the 301 free for a few days.

(Based on what's been put on here, I suspect Vip are going the same way as A2Z. They had issues with maintenance I seem to recall)

Kevin

I'll keep an eye out for the 424 today, usually cross paths with one a day at some point so I can but hope
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

If the buses run smoothly today for me when I leave training,  I should see the 14:38 424 depature from Birmingham

From what I have been told vosa paid them a visit & took 6 buses off the road, 5 for poor maintenance & 1 with an incorrect number plate.
I'd say the writing is on the wall, they'll most probably pull through short term but have their licence revoked shortly afterwards

vinh1000

424 on time 9;30 city centre

Thanks Steve,

Swapping number plates is just doggy.... don't think even Thandi ever did that with all their various antics over the years....

Unless VIP manage to just loose one of their licenses and can keep half the company trading on the other

Steveminor

Oh believe me Thandi did swap number plates around

Definately did, as Steve says. Either that or they kept swopping the pods on the roof of their Leyland Nationals. It was amazing how often the 'same vehicle' whould have a long pod one day, short the next, and then back to a long on a couple of months later
