Why do I remember BC operating a number of Mercedes 0405 upon closure?

1632-1639. They transferred from Lea Hall along with the 55 upon closure. Only used on the 55 and occasionally on the 14 while there. They transferred to Bordesley in April 2011. Don't know if this was when the 55 moved as well, or just to get rid of the O405Ns from Birmingham Central

Yes John they moved with the 55, except in that same month (April 2011), BY then sent Mercs to WN, WN sent Liberators to PB and PB sent Omnilinks to BY, didnt they withdraw the 26 service around this time as well?

Some Mercs did stray onto other BC routes apart from the 14 and 55, they were seen on the 45 for a few odd times.

It felt strange driving one after a gap of about 10 years or so, but I love the cab layout and the large steering wheel and they were still as nippy as I remember :)
