Some would say that the YW B10L's are higher withdrawal priority being based in Birmingham, id like to say, keep your mitts off them mr scrapman

Some could argue that, but as the 27 doesn't enter the City Centre its not a major issue. That said, if it was me I would remove the 9 remaining B10L at YW with any Omnilinks that become available for transfer as it would reduce a bus type from YW / number of spares that need to be held etc

Yes, I'm fond on the B10L myself, I hope someone preserve's one in the original TWM low floor livery or Line 33 livery

Once ive got the last three )1 ones i need for haulage and the full set for piccys, then they can go if they have to even though it will happen anyway just later rather than sooner. Would be nice to have one or two TWM ones preserved, a ZF one and a Voith one

A mate told me 4631 had severely major front n/s damage.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Another accident, what is going on out there at the moment!
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

4631 has arrived at Carlyle Bus & Coach this morning.

Once again, only saw two 24s this evening and both were B7RLEs. Would I be right in thinking the 24 becomes fully B7RLE-operated in the evening? Why is this?

Maybe the evening loadings don't warrant a Trident. I've never seen an evening 24 so only a guess!!

The route might have problems with pasengers anti Social Behavior as why the 451 (5) is always single deck Evenings

451 is small buses during the evening to reflect loadings and save fuel.
Don't you start.

The 24 only requires 3 buses in the evening so it sounds like it is being operated 100% with B7RLEs at night. On holiday at the moment so can't verify.

This sort of thing was common for a time when Quinton garage had 20 Leyland Lynxs delivered new. The 22, 23 and 24 (in those days the 3 then 103) along with the 21 and 29 switched largely over to single deck operation in the evenings, some of the buses having been on the 10/20 and 19 during the day.

Stu

Maybe BC are doing the same as AG have done with the 31A service; double-decks during the day, then switches to singles (off the 37) in the evening. Passenger loadings are lighter and the newer single decks are more fuel efficient, thus saving some money, rather than having half-empty double-decks guzzling diesel.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath
