During AM peak buses run every 7-8 minutes in both directions between QE & City

A bit of straw-clutching there don't you think.
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

It's nothing we haven't seen before, the current branding states "up to every 5 minutes"

No it says every 6 currently. Which was actually correct as with 3 20 minute services it amounted to every 6-7 mins.
Now it's every 10.
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

Seen one of the branded platinums in question (not sure on fleet number) which has been changed to show just X21 and X22 and 'every 7 mins' which is wrong surely.
Also looks like the back window now covered with smaller circles saying X21 and X22 but it was quite far away.

Either way, looks like a patch up job compared with the X7/X8 platinums that needed changing.
I believe it's 6880 , it was on the X13 yesterday afternoon , thought it had something done but wasn't sure

Apologies if this has been asked before, but working in Coventry, I travel along the A45 most days. I often see buses on the X1 running out of service both into and out of Coventry. It made me wonder why BC and CV don't work this route together. I'm sure there's plenty of reasons why that I don't know about but surely working together would save buses running empty between both cities and save on fuel costs?

I would've said, perhaps they don't want to mix vehicles with slightly different fleetnames(Seeing 'National Express Coventry ' in Birmingham  for instance!), but you see 'National Express West Midlands ' presumbly in Coventry,  plus in the past, Coventry has run the 900 in the past, but whether that was under 'regional' fleetname, rather than 'local' fleetname, I don't know.

I believe it was under 'West Midlands Travel', before 'Travel Coventry' was introduced.

As @Tony has already said, Coventry are at capacity and logistically, BC is best placed to cover the X1. Historically, even Walsall operated its predecessor (900) so you can only imagine the dead mileage involved. Sometimes, the cost of dead mileage and greater reliability and resource far outweighs other factors that may cost the business.

Does anybody know why the 23 didn't serve Sommerfeld Road for most of the day? I've checked a few places and can't find anything.
23 - Bartley Green
76 - Northfield
X20 - Birmingham Via Longbridge, Northfield & QE Hospital / University

Slightly off topic, but when West Midlands Travel worked the X92 on Sundays a bus had to go all the way to Hereford empty, and back at night.

Notice X2 Branding on 6833 says "up to every 20 minutes" and another one as well, it was increased to every 15 minutes to Solihull last year I think.
Also saw 4598 in Solihull Town Centre on the 877, normally largely BC Platinums that run into Solihull Town Centre BC routes X2/X12's, but think this 877 is on a 60 board.
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.
