From this Saturday, Coventry Road is going to be completely closed on match days between Bordesley Circus and the junction of Cattell Road - for "approximately" one hour before kick off and around 45 minutes after the final whistle. This ,for safety reasons, must mean that the 60 and 17 will not be able to go past the ground any more at these times. I suppose the 97 to the Tilton Road stop is now the only option within that time frame.

As this will be the first time these changes will be in place I would expect a degree of confusion.

I'm confused about this, I thought this was already the case since a long time ago.

4 of the reserve fleet Tridents are out on the 501 this weekend

John

Platinum buses are regulars on the X70 at weekends

First time I have ever noticed this happen, but during the school holidays the PVR on the Pershore Road is 18 and today the 18 buses on there are 4895-4912, all 18 branded E400s, not one is out of service or on the wrong route

Fairly noteworthy in my opinion. Nowadays most "Noteworthy" workings have already happened to an extent so it's usually a case of merely mentioning when it's happened again. I would imagine given how many vehicles are branded relative to the PVR of a route, this type of thing can only really happen during the Summer. It'd be quite the undertaking from AG to have all 3* branded Geminis on the 11 at once.

Why has my earlier comment been deleted?

It was a perfectly legitamate question?

I noticed that an X64 this evening still showing Limited Stop on the destination blinds.

Do they all still show this or was this just a mistake?

They all do - it's never been changed since it was re-routed via Edgbaston Park Road some months back.

Is this just laziness or is the Edgebaston Park Rd diversion temporary? It's been 4 months now. I can't imagine it takes much to change some destination displays...

Saw two X1s near the Holiday Inn near the Airport today. One was a Platinum in the Lane 1, and the other was a red and white Enviro 400. A 49XX has been reported on the X1 today so it must have been that. I passed in the opposite direction and saw both buses literally side by side on the dual carriageway. It would have made a very good photo.

Reserve fleet 4183 out again this afternoon from BC, currently sat at Coleshill School

2206

6827 was on Burney Lane in Ward End at about 16:00 this afternoon, comming from the direction of Alum Rock and it then went down Station Road down to Stechford Retail Park.
Its quite unusual to see a platinum there, does anyone know what it was doing?

Quick question regards Trident 4186 - I have that one withdrawn at MS but on the main fleet list it is still active at BC. Have gone that one wrong?

While I'm at it - this should be the breakdown of vehicle types at BC taking into account 4183/4439 (I assume 4181 is a garage reserve but at BC) :

32 B7RLE (2078-80/2124-52)
73 Trident (4148/66/72/76-77/79/83/85; 4384-85; 4439-49/55-74; 4594-96; 4606-34)
51 E400 (4871-80/95-913/928-49)
18 B5H (5501-18)
30 E400MMC (6825-54)

You're correct on 4186, I need to correct the fleet list

I assumed it had been withdrawn - after a pic appeared on Flickr of it looking rather derelict.
