Why has 5509 got a blue moquette seat at the back? Looks a complete mess!! Surely they have spare green seats

Most likely to allow it to get back out in service as quickly as possible. To be fair the upkeep of the hybrids is generally good, with any graffiti, window etching soon put right so you would hope it would get a green replacement when one is available.

4447 is out to fool you from a rear view looking like an Enviro at first glance with a new style 97 branding!

Spot on, better to replace a soiled green seat with another one in whatever trim is available, until the correct one can be obtained (or the 'soiled' seat deep-cleaned, depending on how bad it is). With a comparatively low number of green fabric seats in the fleet, maybe there isn't always a 'spare' one available. Easier to just 'borrow' one from a bus that's currently off the road for maintenance.

Much more nicer than the previous one, everything looks much more organised, and 'in place'. However, I personally despise 'mega' rear branding like that... Obstruction of a rear window, of a bus, is a real down point for me - especially on double deckers, where the likelihood is that both rear windows, if any, are covered. But, like I said, much better than the original.

I thought I was seeing things! I agree; much nicer. And great to see blue creeping back into the fleet on a large canvas basis ;-)

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

2131 on the 99 this morning so looks like BC are still short of usable E200s. Being driven by Morgan Freeman for added value.

Haha, brilliant! @Trident 4194 it was at New St Station heading up towards the Square Peg terminus at around 9.10 am if that's any use.

And departed Harborne Junction towards city at 10.56
