809 had an ABS warning light in city which was reset by an engineer. Ran special to Halesown only for the fault to reoccurr. So ran special to BC - nice driving round with an empty bus!!

Terrible buses, should have gone for the streetlight

Are the Streetlites any better? I haven't heard glowing reviews about some of them. The Optare Versa Hybrids aren't bad actually - have them on the S2 and they're pretty good. Suspension is good, heating warm and not too rattly usually.

I think a Vehicle swap occurred this morning but I haven't posted it in the relevant thread as I'm not 100% sure it did happen

4437 957 > 60
4943 876/60 > 957

I'm sure I seen 4437 on the 957 as I seen Solihull on its side display by Tesco's in Sheldon around 07:55 heading for Solihull.

I'm sure @Tony would clarify whether this did occur.
60 Birmingham - Cranes Park
72/72A Solihull Station - Chelmsley Wood
73 Solihull - Heartlands Hospital
X1 Birmingham - Coventry
X2 Birmingham - Solihull Station
A10 Solihull - Cranes Park / Chelmsley Wood

2x 957 branded buses on the Harbornes, this afternoon. Caught one on the 24 (towards the terminus), and saw the other, strangely, on a 23 Woodgate-bound (at Five Ways)

Tonight they do! If I've got my times right, I believe it will have just departed Colmore Row on the 29A and will operate the 2041 29 ex Northfield, 2145 24 ex City, 2223 24 ex Simmons Drive, 2300 29 to Northfield.

I take no responsibility if these times are incorrect!  ;) And of course this assumes Bordesley don't want their bus back!

I hardly think omnilinks are going back to BC... So I take your comments in satire.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

2137 on the 99.. Those e200's not so reliable now are they, @Tony haha

What was wrong with the 200 this time?

(Double post due to modify post complications)

And 2122 I believe, although may have replaced a e200, however that is only 5 of 7 buses e200s, which means people in firsby would yet again get missing buses.

Niall

I did see a branded E200 on the 14, in Birmingham at around 10:30, so might explain one of the B7s on the 99?

RE: full size single decks missing out part of the 99 route; it's not Firsby that's omitted, it Wisley Way/Rilstone Road. The buses simply continue along Welsh House Farm road

That'll be my fault for stating the wrong road. Apologies. Yes, it was Wisley Way/Rilstone I meant. Thanks, @AndrewLee

No worries. While we're on the subject it's not the only place that's tight. The turn into Blandford road and by Pitman road where unfortunately if buses in both directions are on time they meet at a tricky junction. Throw some parked cars and a telegraph pole in the mix and you've got problems!

I know what you're on about but I'm sure if the buses were smack on time they crossed at Tennal Road, Scarlet Pimpernel?

Sadly now this is Tennal Road, a bunch of generic new build town houses (although to be fair the Scarlet Pimpernel was a dump). Probably why I've never seen 2 99s pass at that point.
