are hansons coming off the merry hill to stourbridge end of our old 297?

The registration for the 297 has been like that for ages , it is time that VOSA sorted the registrations out so that they make sense.

Even once all the registrations appear for the North B'ham review, you're generally still non the wiser until NWM release the review leaflet with full details of all the route changes.

Another option for the 297, could the route change involve extending it from Halesowen to do a loop around Hasbury estate to compete with Diamond, only one NXWM service currently serves the estate which is the 244, this route now omits roads previously served by the 19/19S/919 etc i.e. Thornhill Rd, Huntingreetree Rd, Dunstall Road & Lansdown Rd are no longer served by NXWM buses at all only Diamond's 4H & 142 now serve all those roads bar Thornhill

The majority of those 'to amend timetable', could be the start of the summer timetable for that particular route

Doesn't the summer timetable normally coincide with the main 6 weeks school holidays?

It used to, but last year I seem to remember it started from June. It probably does get a bit quieter then with universities, sixth forms, colleges & year 11's finishing school, but not to the same extent as the main six weeks.

Summer timetables last year were in operation from 22nd July through to 1st Sept 2012

Can anybody shed any more light on these registrations for 9th June, Is my route (the 907) going to get some improvement, is the 936 in direct competition with the 56, is the 934 extended to Walsall (via 76 rout possibly), how is the 914/115 going to be re-routed, the 66, 66A etc etc ?, I use most of these routes a lot ..... help .... please....!!!!

Don't panic matey! As per other area reviews expect full details to be well publicised on the NXWM and NWM in time with details of what is chanfing and full timetables including maps for services in the area.

Some details will come with the leaflets, other details will be announced later, and we'll find out the exact details of the exact route after the service starts...
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

I'm sure some started from 10 June 2012 Winston. The 451 had a timetable change from that date.

Thanks Pete, I stand corrected, some of those registrations do then appear to be as a result of summer timetable changes, it seems as though there may be more this year in June compared to last year

Quote17. PD0001111/105 - WEST MIDLANDS TRAVEL LTD T/A TRAVEL WEST MIDLANDS, 51 BORDESLEY GREEN, BIRMINGHAM, B9 4BZ
Variation Accepted: Operating between Birmingham , Colmore Row and Wolverhampton, Bus Station given service number 126 effective from 09-Jun-2013. To amend Timetable.
The 126 doesn't serve Colmore Row, is that a route change again...

It was explained in another post I think, VOSA registrations don't regularly update the stopping places hence why the 55/55A are still put down as Lower Bull St. and the 6 as Corporation St.
Cheers for clearing that up for me :D

I find the 289 loadings at the Merry Hill end very poor these days. Has the 53 and 4M killed off patronage here? On many daytime routes I see, the bus never seems half full. I might be wrong about other times though.

What are the 53 loadings like? Is is really necessary that service these days?

Usually busy between Bearwood & West Bromwich. Mixed between Merry Hill & Bearwood, tends to get strangely quieter during peak times :-\

No it dosen't it gets rammed full of oldbury sandwell and bristnall students, but the 123 was better and i'm sure centro will agree with me because the 53 is subisdised and the 123 wasn't

Did the block of NXWM VOSA registrations yesterday, cover all of the North B'ham & Sutton Coldfield routes / included in the review changes or are there still potentially more to come?

There doesn't appear to be any significant changes at present, other than the introduction of new NX 936 service & withdrawal of Central Buses 76 route

However, other routes also changing are as follows (extent t.b.c):

46
51/X51
66/66A
902/904/905
914/115
934/935/936
952
997/997A

Do we assume there are no changes to NXWM (PB) other services i.e. 7, 16, 28, 65, 67 or 638. Plus Central Buses 78 & 88, Diamond 56 or VIP 424?

I used to use it in the evening to get to Merry Hill and there was only 5 passengers on there  ???

The 934 is replacing the 76 between Pheasey and Walsall. I understand the 936 will be running to Brownhills

Will the 936 operate from PB with E400 or possibly WA?

Nice to see, if Ive read this right, NX back regulary on the Brum to Brownhills section.

Could they renumber the 935a to 936 & keep a consistent number all day?

Interesting to note NX seem to be coming back on certain routes.

The 76 they used to operate as 376 years ago & Brum to Brownhills as 155, then 995.

I imagine it will interwork with the 935, being operated by WA. Pure assumption however
