"Merry Hell...and that's just the buses"

One of my Enforcement Officers noticed they've started putting flags up in Brierley Hill this week with 310 on

Its very small writing for "branding". NX's is better and diamonds schemes were miles better. This isnt branding-its little stickers stuck on a bus that you can scarcely read. With diamonds, you couldnt help notice due to the bright colours and big route information.

I would have to agree with you there, good branding should catch the eye and clearly advertise where the bus service is going. With the very small text and dodgy colour choice, I don't think it does either of those things

I'm sorry but I don't think arriva know how to compete at all. And I'm not just talking west midlands-I'm talking nationally. The arriva branding compared to say go north east branding is awful and doesnt catch people's attention. Which company's buses are usually busier? Go North East... Successful branding should stand out and a little bit cheap and tacky with a few jokes in there like on the diamond ones is all part of it. Branding needs to also include interior notices and timetables and website links with the brands on, again like go north east, in order to be successful. I just think with arriva yes the buses look smart but they don't stand out enough and thats the worry I have with the new diamond livery as well. In fairness to petes travel, they may have had their problems but when one was coming on the 404 people could actually see it!!
