Bit of a random question, but I wonder at what point daysavers will expire on the 97 now.

I only ask as a daysaver purchased during the day can still be used on the last bus home, which often in the case of say the 9 or the 50 can be closer to 1am?

I'm sure the conditions on the ticket are valid until 05:00 the next day. After this time then the first 'morning' services start.

There may be special conditions for the 97. I think this is being subsidised be Birmingham Airport.

I only mentioned the 9 bus because of the west-east link and it seems to be (despite recent tragic events) one of the perhaps, nice routes to run the buses through..

Tickets don't have a time specified. The rule is 'valid to end of daytime service' The same as Travelcards have a condition on the back stating 'not valid on night services' so it depends on which journeys are classed as 'night services'

Does that mean that bus passes wont be valid on the 97 at night?

Confirmed today - normal fares apply. Day tickets and travelcards will be valid until 01:59 the day after expiry
so a dayticket issued on 1/5/13 will be valid until 01:59 on 2/5/13

Are you sure about 4447? Have they branded more than 4455-74 then?

Good pictures anyway Nathan!! A good branding

it seems to me like NXWM are branding them early to promote the extension.

I personally feel the branding is nice, but may have to change - I'm not sure it makes it clear that the every 4 mins applies only to the section between Birmingham & Chelmsley Wood, and could be seen as misleading?

Remember the previous situation with the green 79 branding where this had to be changed after application.

Stu

I thought they might have used some refurbished Tridents.  ::)

I think you've misread that. He said he saw 4447 whilst he was on the 31A
