Bob it's what remains of the old frontline x73.
I'm sure you wouldn't be saying that if you relied on the service to get to work & back

Does seem to have an average load, but very loyal customer base

Bob

If you relied on it youd be screwed if it broke down considering it runs once daily! Thank god arriva dont run it

mikestone

Lots of vehicles parked up in both yards - the northernmost one including what looked like a Wheeler, Soton DD, and the one nearer the station the three Baker's hybrids.

mikestone

Including said Wheeler's DD!

Which was bought for less from stafford bus centre only 2 weeks ago

I remember using it in Central Connect days, you'd get a full Dart some days, then Heartlands came along and the numbers slowly dwindled...

People knew who central connect was as to Heartlands ds who r based in Tamworth so we could c passengers increase as people know
central Buses

Can we try to type in English, not 'text' please, this is very difficult to read, let alone understand

Steveminor

I think with the reliability of central buses the passenger numbers will return to what they once we're but still not enough to make an all day service viable.

It was reliable with Mr James, Not very often I didn't see it within 5 minutes of due time. The driver is a good one who is still now driving it for Central. Biggest problem with services like this being run by any small operator is business will only increase with word of mouth recommendations so it needs current passengers to know other people who need to commute the same time as them. I do hope it survives and grows.

Bob

How often did it use to be when frontline ran it?

Bob

As I say Arriva's X74 failed miserably,  but then that happens to nearly all Arriva route launches...

Steveminor

The evening return service was reliable however it did have several breakdowns in the morning (that I know of) which resulted in a very late arrival in birmingham.
Back in frontline days it ran 2 am peak journeys & 2 pmsl peak journeys.

Bob

 Pmsl journeys?  Lol  :)
