It will be withdrawn from normal service won't it?
When was the last time 3225 operated a normal service (not special or private hire services)?

Yes but 3225 isn't compliant for normal service. 4125 is as compliant as the newest diesel Platinum in the fleet, so until Diesel engines are banned*, 4125 will theoretically survive.

*and that can be stretched if one day it was converted t Electric. Unlikely but possible.

That makes sense, and presumably the open door at the back might have something to do with why it wouldn't be suitable for use as well.
Though if NX want a zero emission fleet by 2030, 4125 might be taken out of normal service by then maybe.

Historic vehicles like my 1930 Standard Teignmouth saloon are allowed into the CAZ. Does this not apply to buses over 40 years old too?

I take it that'll mean none of the heritage fleet will return to the city centre then?

I know Wythall have switched to running their stuff non-commercially now, so that they'll be able to continue running their event day service.

Any views/comments are my own and do not reflect those of my employer.

4535, 4722, 4780 & 2102 are part of the normal service fleet, not heritage fleet?

I think they mean 2957, 3225, etc.

Everything can go into the city, just some vehicles have to pay. 4125 is Euro6  so doesn't have to pay. Any heritage vehicle not used commercially  doesn't have to pay either.  If you check TOB997H on the checker you will see it is exempt

Can't anything be used until the CAZ is properly in force? So AG and WB could still send anything uncompliant until it's properly in force?

The CAZ becomes 'enforceable' from Monday 14th June. As Tony has stated, any vehicle can be used within the CAZ, but any that are not compliant will be subject to charges, for buses and HGVs this is £50 per day per vehicle.

NX did their fleet movements ahead of the initial June 1st start date in order to be prepared and to minimise the amount of charges that could have been incurred. Its not just AG and WB either, don't forget YW now have a number of Tridents that can't be used on their city routes, which is why they no longer appear on the 2 and 3 services, even though they could have been during this short postponement.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

That could mean costly repainting. It may be cheaper to pay the charges.
