Why don't Perry Barr borrow of a different garage? A e200 for an e400 is hardly a fair trade

Have to agree with you!!

As long as they don't transfer the Bendis to PE (unless they would like a space in the top yard)!
11 Cv tridents to Pe, 11 Pe enviros to pb, pb bendis to cv?
CV have no experience with Omnicity Artics, so what would be the point off transferring them?

Whilst it's unlikely the Scanias will be transferred to Coventry, just because that garage hasn't used them before, doesn't mean they can't start using them. Otherwise that argument would be used every time and Acocks Green will never have any more new buses.
I don't see why it is unlikely because no other garage will operate bendibuses.
And yes I hate it when people use that excuse, I mean if everyone was like that no garage would operate any buses!
Cv never had experience with b7rles but they still type trained and ordered them in...
Favourite buses currently:
871, 1828, 4421, 4764, 6101, 6108, 6116, 6118, 6121, 6848, 6849
Least favourite buses currently:
4203, 4213, 4398, 4419

Introducing new buses is an entirely different scenario to transferring a small ten year old fleet of relatively non-standard ones.

Unless Coventry garage has a magic wand or other secret ingredient that Perry Barr is lacking, I don't see the enthusiasm for reallocating one garage's demics to another just so they can struggle to get more than three out and in traffic at any one time.
Don't you start.

Coventry took on the mercedes 0405GN bendys from Perry Barr when they  hadn't operated any kind of articulated bus before any thing is possible. ImO the scania arctics will be phased out fuel compumstion must be horrendous on those, I hear the average bus does 6mpg if that's the case those scanias probably manage 2-3 mpg at best I would have thought.

I'm sure there won't be repeat of that mistake instead of taking the option of new buses.

First transfer of February - 4526 WA - PB out on the 65 today

Riding a 1964 Bournemouth Atlantean to the Stafford Model Railway exhibition last Saturday I overheard a conversation about the First Manchester OmniCity artics - unreliable, problems galore, thirsty, just like the PB ones.

Why are Gemini's transferring to PB?

Because PB's short of buses?

Nottingham City Transport withdrew their Scania artics last year, so NXWM won't be the first.

I wonder if it's because of this?

I brought it out of garage this morning. Out all night too. I guess this is why 1407/8 are reinstated to Walsall, they replaced 4523/6

First two transfers out of Pensnett with the new arrivals are
1661 to West Bromwich
4310 back to Wolverhampton

the trainbasher

@Tony so that's why they didn't put new blinds in 1661. Makes sense really for only a couple of months!
