Another Merc bites the dust...

At this rate NXWM will have to start prepping some decent buses from the withdrawn/reserve fleet. As they really don't seem to have many 'spare' buses lying around.
Hardly, 30 new buses have just entered service and only about 10 have so far been withdrawn

Sh4318

I saw 4346 today, not in service, going down West Bromwich High St, towards Birmingham
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A
Semi-local routes: 80, 87

You do see BC/YW tridents around West Bromwich quite a bit, I think going to/from the garage for work to be carried out on them. Always driven by engineers.

4530 and 4531 heading this evening towards Walsall at around 7pm out of service. Does anybody know what other vehicles are to be withdrawn from WB after the remaining enviro 200's are starting to now enter service there.

1634 is the replacement for 1562 the Coventry Merc lost in the fatal collision in Allesley while proceeding to Brownshill Green. 1562 spent most of its life in Birmingham.

I saw 1634 on the 45 on Sunday probably it's last day in service at WB hope they take off the local advert on the back which they havent done with 1557 still has an advert with a Dudley (01384) phone number on the back.

When 1635 and 1636 first ran in Coventry they retained their red Birmingham advertising above the windows for a number of months. See picture of 1636 in photo section with £15 travelcard advert.

1655 did as well, with a red regional daysaver ad, where the Coventry ones were blue. Just had the WM price cut off

Re BC / YW Tridents in West Brom, Carlyle at Swan Village often have NXWM vehicles inc ALX400s in for something or other - they might have been there.

Check the floor panels where the front axle is, some of those move around abit

Does anyone know when the 09 Enviros are due to leave Pensnett and where they are likely to go? Also what their replacements will be? I heard something about the 07/57 Enviros from YW and PB?

The reason I want to know is that my local buses are all PE operated, therefore it's very relevant to me, and there might be some interesting workings on the 9 and 141 during the changeover which would be worth seeing.

Sad day, had hoped that PE could keep 600 given it's history with the depot!
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).
