There's an island shortly after university station for the turn off to the QE hospital, I would assume any short workings would turn there.

Yeah it goes to the bottom of the road turns right and uses an island up there

Quote from: tombzy on June 01, 2025, 08:30:29 AMIts not a bustimes issue its summat to do with the BODS
Looks like bustimes is still using the BODS data set from 29th May rather than the one from 31st May which includes the X20, 998, both 49s etc.

Does anybody know why the new 48 timetable has included 3 minute layovers at Uni Station on each trip? I could understand layover times at the hospital entrance maybe with its previous route, but sitting at Uni Station for 3 mins will end up blocking the X20/X21/X22.
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21 & 48
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

Seems a bit of a strange one to me why it doesn't serve the hospital entrance given that it turns into Hospital Way and is within about 30 seconds of the QE main entrance stops.

Looking at bus times 6946 turned at North Gate. I think a lot of coaches for the uni etc turn round there.
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

Speculation, but with West Bromwich losing the 48A,20A & 20, does this leave an amount of deckers free to go onto the 12? Or will they be transferred to accommodate other routes?

Ah, apologies, I thought the post was referring to short journeys from city (although not sure there are any / many of these anymore)?

No, because the 48 has been increased in frequency

Quote from: Stu on May 31, 2025, 06:21:01 PMI put it down to misreporting by the local media, as well as ignorant ill-informed comments/posts on social media, plus a general inability in many people to 'read beyond the headline'.

While I don't use the bus services myself in those areas, my own analysis of the service changes there led me to conclude that overall, no-one is actually missing out. Some people might just see a service change number, some people may have to change buses, but apart from one road, no-one is losing a bus service.
No one is missing out? Tell that to people on the Chester Road where a long section will now have no bus, or Sutton Oak Road. They will have quite a walk to their nearest bus stop. Which is funnily enough where a lot of people are kicking off about these changes.

People in Pheasey have been given a raw deal too, yet they still couldn't have extended the 33 to Asda Queslett?

Hundred Acre Estate is quiet clearly now going to over-bussed, whereas the 2x buses an hour on the 935 was fine as well as the hourly 78.

Strikes me is that the 935 has been a long established route now for the last 15 years and is now being chopped, same goes for the 934, which has been in its current format since 2013.

Give it time and I can see the 998 being extended and the 77 being put back to its original route, as they've completely wrecked a system that worked.

They can't stop messing with the 77, in fact making it more indirect is enough to put anyone off using it!

Got told 3 ways of doing it:
- Roundabout after Uni station before Uni campus
- Do a loop around Uni campus
- Spin around at the North gate large area.

Is there a map of the Streetly/Kingstanding routes as of today online anywhere?
