Are these actually an early end of term change for the summer holidays (though unis and schools have less travel owing to exams etc?) or they likely to extend after September?

Next week is usual school holiday reductions, services then go almost back to current first week of June, just slight reductions mostly on University routes

The new timetables are now on the NXWM website.  It appears that the 15 will be interworking with the 2/2A at Merry Hill.  If this means the use of E200s on the 15 then there are going to be serious capacity issues at certain times of the day.

In addition, although the 15/16 are shown as a single timetable, the 16A is shown as a separate timetable.  Surely these journeys should be included in a single 15/16/16A timetable.

the X20 also has its own timetable, which is so weird. does anyone know if the X20 will be platinum when it comes into service because it's an X bus and that was the original point of the platinums?

Its because the page is linked to the current 15/15A/16 timetables. Once the new tinetable comes into effect, I would think that the services will be shown together.

There aren't any 'Platinum' routes now, I imagine BC will use any bus they have available.

The X- prefix just designates an express or limited stop route.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to QE Hospital | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Platinum doesn't exist anymore !

X20 will be allocated any bus like every other route, let's just hope they don't go limp mode in Bromsgrove. X20/X21/X22 are labelled as X routes as they skip this stop going into city "Lee Bank, opp Bexhill Grove" and this stop leaving city "Lee Bank, adj Bexhill Grove", where as the 80 stops at them.

I just noticed allegedly 219 people signed this.
Well if all of these people actually used this bus daily or even regularly maybe it wouldn't be being chopped off in the first place. No doubt some people sign stuff like this to feel they are doing something good maybe.

Plus they still have the hourly 145 to Longbridge during the daytime where they can connect to other bus & rail services.

Exactly as I predicted earlier!

Quote from: Stu on May 09, 2025, 06:11:38 PMIt's always the same, an unpopular decision gets made, then there'll be some petition that gets hundreds of signatures.

I recall a few years ago now, some change was made (or proposed) by NX in Old Hill, where some service was being changed or withdrawn due to 'lack of use'. There was some petition that got loads of signatures, then the service got reinstated. Then I'm sure about 12 months later it was finally removed/withdrawn due to 'lack of use'.

As the old saying goes, "use it or lose it". And it's always the same, the numbers who sign the petitions never match the passengers who use the service!
On this occasion, I suspect it is unlikely that either WCC or TfWM will fund any replacement service, not while the village is already covered by the 145 and 145A, which I believe are supported by WCC. Though I do recall that even those services are 'at risk of withdrawal'.

145 and 145A which combined is hourly but yeah
The only reason the 20A is better is because its a one bus trip to selly oak.

They'll need to make use of the on-demand service. Cheaper than NX as well!
