I'm interested to see if the new X20 leads to an increased frequency via the University. But I wouldn't be surprised if the  X20 runs every 30 minutes to Rednal and hourly to Bromsgrove, the X21/X22 being reduced to every 30 minutes each therefore maintaining the 10 minutes frequency via the University. Am I being pessimistic ?

QuoteLooks like WN 15 is being cut and running between Wombounre and Merry Hill only and the 15A being withdrawn

Looks like its going to go the way of the 261 then... death by a thousand cuts

It'll probably be moving to Pensnett to I'm guessing.
If the Wolverhampton bits been chopped off, can't see it staying at WN.

Could the Sunday 15A still be tendered out by TfWM? Am I correct in believing that all we know is that NXWM are not running the 15 to Wolverhampton, or the 15A entirely? That doesn't necessarily mean TfWM are scrapping the route. Hopeful thinking I know, but losing the 15A would be a disgrace.

I doubt they will tender it out as no stops are left unserved it seems. As the 16 still runs.

The 15A is already a tender, and NX weren't actually supposed to win it in January, Carolean won it but, like buslink with the 77/77A, it was "on hold"

They might still be running an hourly Sunday service Wombourne to Merry Hill maybe.

QuoteSalop Road not having the 48A isn't going to go down amazing, surprised that's going if i'm honest. Can imagine the people along there will have something to say.
The 54 will still serve Salop Road. At least till Eva Road
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A
Semi-local routes: 54, 80, 87

Most used routes in bold

Plus passengers will still have the 13 at the top end on Bristnall Hall Rd which goes the exact same way as the 48A from Bearwood up until that point and the 48 at the bottom on Hurst Rd for both Bearwood and West Bromwich, can't see much that is being lost really except that small section of Salop Rd.

Registration of the new X20 and cancellation of the 20 and 20A.
Based on timetables of existing routes covering much of this new X20, I'd estimate that peak hour journeys will take in the region of one and a half hours end-to-end

Quote from: TGZac on April 17, 2025, 11:50:47 PMThe X20's registration doesn't mention Rednal/Cofton Hackett at all, so will there be something replacing that section?
Extend the 27 back to Cofton Hackett again?

A bit like the Harborne to Northfield section of the 29, which has now seen changes to the 27, 76 and 48 to try to cover it since its withdrawal, Rednal / Cofton Hackett are other areas that have struggled to find a settled service since the 2018 changes.

The registration might not mention every area anyway, I would have thought it would serve some of Rednal at least.

The 145 also covers Groveley Lane. And there's also the 202 in the Rednal area that could be tweaked as well if required.
