Which does beg the question, what is X about the new X20? Just the stop it misses on Bath Row? Not an alternative to the train between Birmingham and Bromsgrove, that's for sure.

Thing is, Bromsgrove rail station is a 40 minute walk from the town centre
Local routes are the PN 7, WN 8, 25 and 242 (mainly the 8)
Also regularly use the 17

A small clue to a small section of the route.

Is anyone familiar with the MRW 86?

The x20 will serve bournville from selly oak. Is that the clue?

Quote from: Stu on April 15, 2025, 08:51:26 PMI don't know what passenger loadings are like on the 48/48A. Nor the 76 between QE and Northfield.

The 76 is currently every 20mins during the daytime. If this is an attempt to reduce costs based on passenger loadings, it seems viable to either reduce the 48 to half-hourly all the way to Northfield, or adjust to every 20 minutes, to maintain the current 76 frequency and offset the loss of the 48A, which seems to be covered by other routes anyway.
My understanding is the 48 will be increased to every 20mins from WBBS to cover the loss of the 48a.
48a is being axed cos although passenger numbers seem to be okay, there is no single road it exclusively serves, got the 48 to hurst rd, diamond 54 on salop rd, then the 13 from top of salop rd to bearwood.

A deregulation route that stitched together the Northfield - Longbridge section of WMPTE's 77 and the whole of its 73 (Northfield - Woodgate Valley South).

So based on that clue, via Barnes Hill, Weoley Castle, and Swarthmore Road between California and Northfield?

Wonder if the 46 will be changing in any of this?
Curtailed back to Northfield maybe?
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

I think the tender for the 46 is ending. The X20 I believe will use Gibbons, Shenley Fields and Middle Park.

This is only what I've heard, I'm told the route training has already started...

Considering the tender for 46 is ending, does that include the other Stagecoach services, such as the 41, 169 & A9?

Looks like WN 15 is being cut and running between Wombounre and Merry Hill only and the 15A being withdrawn

May be they increase the 16 frequency to every 20 minutes, like it previously ran, as that route seems well used and the Penn area of Wolverhampton will need a better frequency than every 30 minutes that otherwise would exist.

I'm guessing that leaves the 8 to merry hill?
