Does anyone usually go down Warwick road to solihull at around 8am only to see every day there's at least a 7 min traffic jam which always delays the 4 service?

Warwick road is a mess during that time, multiple schools and work places around warwick road, Olton, Acocks green, Tyseley, Kineton Green etc

Between Olton and Seven Star Road? Yes this is normal. It's just slow moving traffic - not actually standstill. Happens every day.

Not much has changed then! Was like this when I used to get the 37 from Acocks Green to Solihull back in 2008-2012!

It's not that bad - it's just slow moving but at least it's moving! It's the Dovehouse Lane and Grange Road junctions onto Warwick Road coupled with the crossing lights that cause it.

Then you haven't seen the worst of it. One time I was on the 4 and I had a lesson at college for 9am, managed to make it at 10am despite getting the 7.21 bus from the city centre. Tbf was only a one time thing and most of the time doesn't bother me but some days it can be very bad.

Maybe catch the X2 over the 4? The X2 is quicker and has more bus priority than the 4?

Or just catch the train like most people travelling from Brum to Solihull do?

Kind of a waste of money me getting a train as I have nbus.

X2 definitely not quicker than 4 (at least for me as I live near stock field road)

I drive that way every weekday morning at around 8AM in a Coach.

The X2 is very much faster than the 4. The 4 serves Warwick Road which is a single dual carriageway for nearly the whole section the 4 serves whereas the X2 has the A45 with tons of bus priority. I know which I would prefer.
