For passengers at Westwood Business Park, National Express Coventry will be extending service the 12X (Coventry to Warwick University) to Westwood Business Park via Prior Deram Walk every 30 minutes

To replace the 2/2A

This might be something for the 'redundant' 2/2A drivers to do, but does WBP really need a half-hourly service for 17 hours a day oddly increasing to every 20 mins on a Sunday daytime, yes this now provides a daytime link from the Uni to Canley (Deram Park) which is already offered in the evenings and Sundays but the 14 could have been tweaked to provide this as well as maintain the lost link from Cannon Park to Canley leaving the 12X to just do a frequent peak hour service to WBP.
The old 10A and 19 services a few years back offered WBP with a half-hourly daytime service but came and went, this improved offering may look good on paper but can we expect it to last and could it be a precursor for removing the 18A? - I suppose it won't be too long until something here changes again.

Looking at TfWM's route map the 12X from 05 January seems to loop around Prior Deram Walk and then return via Charter Ave & Kirby Corner Rd
https://www.tfwm.org.uk/plan-your-journey/find-a-timetable/#/route/cen_4112X_C_H_y11_8-8?direction=Inbound&when=0

If correct the 12X does not look like it will directly serve Westwood Bus Park to me as it would need to also zoom along Westwood Way but not according to the map? Perhaps they are talking about the nearby Student Accomodation on KC Rd?

Could there also be quite some late running expected in the peaks as that section of the A45 can get jammed up?

The map on the TFWM website only shows the current route.

If you look at the timetable, you'll see it will go along Westwood Way and back again, and doesn't serve Kirby Corner Road any more.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Thks, that caught me out! - you would think the TfWM website would show the correct map linked to the date of the timetable selected ?

I now see why the 'Business Park' is going to be served daily until near Midnight - Student Accommodation.

Long shot but is there a way NXC could put posters up on the route of the 2 to say it's been withdrawn or would it be upto stagecoach/ TFWM

It seems service 11 is being amended to no longer serve Coventry Station Interchange from 23rd February.
This is good news for the majority who travel through this point - the stops on Warwick Road are still very nearby.
This leaves just the X17 and X30 serving the Interchange which is slowly turning into a white elephant though I suppose it could be repurposed as additional taxi rank or kiss and ride.

I had a ride on the 11 all the way to Leamington one Saturday afternoon last year. The interchange seems very poorly sited to me, yes its convenient access to the station on foot, but for buses to get in and around it seems to take ages, not helped by all the traffic going to and from the retail park.

Stagecoach's 87 service had the same trouble last time I rode on it too.

No it hasn't, I've just seen it at Pool Meadow still in service on the 18s. The tracker must be stuck.

Could nx not permanently change the 14 or 14A route to serve Banner Lane, Tile Hill Lane, Templar
Avenue, Torrington Avenue, Station Avenue to normal line of route although it may add a few extra minutes to the route
