Today is planned to be the last day of diesel double deck operation from Perry Barr garage

The Real 4777

Good grief. And with it the demise of the Omnicities. Well, at least we've got a virtuous and utterly standardised fleet in their place.

And thus dies my PB bus interest. R.I.P.

Sad that for PB it will be a case of seen one seen 'em all! Still we can spend time hunting down E334.

If I wasn't due out early in the morning, I'd have used 4780's last evening in traffic to have a few beers along the route to lay proper PB buses to rest.

The PB scene now is like staring at a wall painted magnolia or the TV Test Card. No point in pretending there's anything of interest going on now in North East Birmingham.

They played an absolute blinder with @Tony  helping to take hundreds of kids to see Walsall at Wembley in the play offs.
Autofare 3 - the ticket that laughs in the face of contactless!

Will the 8a/c be getting a frequency decrease as they now have double decks?

No. The double decks have improved capacity, which the routes clearly needed, and it was more viable to do this than to increase the frequency, thus use more single decks.

Reducing the frequency now would be a backwards step.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

I disagree, it was every 12 minutes using single deckers which is 5 buses per hour (5 x 43 seats = 215), if it is reduced to every 15 minutes using electric double deckers that would be 4 buses per hour (4 x 65 seats = 260) which is 45 seats more even with a frequency reduction. This would free up buses/drivers for frequency increases for either 33, 65/7 which along with other PB routes have had a capacity reduction of 6-12 seats per bus, which has being noticeable the last few weeks.

Saw 1812 being driven on Highgate Road NIS leaning to one side, what would be the cause of this?
