It will be interesting to see this, but hopefully NX will advertise shortly.

So would that mean no direct nxwm service from Hampstead to West Brom?

There is a service that covers West Bromwich to Hamstead which is the 16/16W operated by Diamond, so if true you can see some NX 16's possibly going into West Bromwich

2900

it seems NXPB will do 16 brum to green lane and 16A  BRUM to scott arms, a good friend of mine who works at diamond tividale  says they will do 16w

monkeyjoe

Nxpb will do a 16w or just diamond ? So if just diamond no direct nxwm service from Hampstead to West Brom?

If just diamond are running on the 16 to west brom, then it might be worth withdrawing the short journeys that terminate at hamstead

Just seen a post on the Lyndon Facebook group from a Solihull Councillor that the 58 is indeed going to Stagecoach, will be the A9 and extended to Blythe Valley via Monkspath Hall Road.

Quote from: GoldenSquid on December 08, 2022, 08:45:34 PMThat's quite a lot of dead mileage.
So it's going to run dead from Rugby to either Kingshurst (28 miles) or Blythe Valley (32 miles)? Operating from Leamington or Nuneaton garages would be closer. I can't begin to understand the logics of this, especially when one of the reasons stated for the changes is due to the "increased costs of running the services".

Rugby is only a temporary measure

Are Stagecoach undercutting to secure these tenders? Assumed local bus companies would be more suited.

MW

I suspect they'll try and find a location in the East Birmingham area to operate from eventually and try and get a foothold on tendered work on a large scale. A threat to Diamond perhaps, and later NX..?

All dependant on if they can get the drivers of course!

They are awarded to the cheapest bidder so ultimately yes they will be. There are not many local bus companies left which has been a challenge to TfWM for some time - some tenders recently have only had one bidder
