Jesus! How did it happen?!
Looks like arson to me, was on the upper deck at the back seat. Shame though, they were always treated nicely on the Harbornes. Looks repairable.

Can they catch the guy that did it?

Re - 5518 fire.

It doesnt look too bad, and with a clean up and new seat should be back on the road soon I reckon.

'These were treated well on Harbornes' - was just waiting for these comments. I know of several that were window etched and had slashed seats etc. Remind me the last time the 63 had an arson attack?

NX - please take a get tough stance with this, find the culprit on cctv and put his mugshot in BC garage and running boards, tell 63 and X61 (and even 29 and 49) drivers NOT to carry him under any circumstances. That way he may learn. The annoying thing is knowing hes done this yesterday and today will probably be waiting for a 63 like nothing has happened. It could have been a lot worse - the whole bus could have been destroyed. BAN him!

I agree in principle with banning, how do you enforce it though in the reality of each day, sounds like a bit of a head case who would kick off etc

The challenge of enforcing a ban would also be trying to distinguish the low life from the rest of the under-nourished weasel faced shell-suit wearing chavs. Not that I'm generalising or anything.

Wasn't the seat that was only affected, some of the windows got blackened and the roof fell in a bit (inside only)

It was. It was put on a morning peak board on the 60 to get it back to garage to be debranded which is currently being done

Is this going to become the new 71/72 branded off route posts we can expect?

What are you on about, i've not filled the thread up with a load of posts about the Harborne platinums being on the X1.
Thats the first new Platinum i've seen go on the 94C, so first new one i've seen get to Ward End, Castle Bromwich and Stechford going to the Airport, i've not seen one in any of those places before and have only seen 66 plates on the 94C before so I found it noteworthy.
