6856 on one of BC's morning 9s. Let's hope the average punter doesn't get their hopes up with the new amenities. ;)

4871/2/5 don't really go onto the X1/X2 that much since the '66' plate Platniums arrived at BC. They go anywhere and everywhere.

Bound to happen more often now I suppose, but 6854 on the 22. Only noting as it's one of the 2016 batch.

Yes noted 6853 Thursday during my spell it was on the 22.

How come the 24 doesn't have the scrolling display like the others on the platinums? I'm sure it did before.

5516 has been de-branded, apart from the red stripe. Looks in a bit of a state

They're all being done this weekend. They will take priority in the paint shop in the new year

I saw a few of these today including 5511, they seemed to have retained the red vinyl around the destination display and under the windscreen for the time being too. They still look oddly out of place on the 63 at the moment.

I also agree here but the crimson B5s look more at "home" if you will.

I keep having to think, this is not a noteworthy working and the bus isn't "off route" ! I would have thought, the buses would have been de-branded prior to the arrival of the new buses, not when everything as been delivered although having said that, seeing as they are currently in the process of being repainted, I would think they'd be doing it then anyway.

I'm currently on 6892 on the 23 so looks like the whole batch may now be in service.

Only one half of the upstairs lights are working so it's very dark up here.

It's not that half of the lights aren't working. On the MMCs, when you switch the engine off and leave the electrics on, one row of lights switches off to save on battery power. Then when you restart the bus, those lights remain off and you have to manually switch them on from a button in the cab.
