If these rumours for the 311/313 are true, which type of decker would it be allocated?

Trident 4609

@OH25 B7RLE's are the main allocation on the 40/41.

As the E400s and high back seated Geminis are used on the routes into Birmimgham, I would have thought that Tridents, B7/ALX400 or standard bus seated Geminis would be used.

Thinking about it, it would make sense as the B10's are going so the omnilinks move onto the 34/8/9 and deckers on the 311/3

How long before the first deroofed decker?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

I'd give it a week after it becomes the main allocation (If it happens)

Only if someone takes it under Bridgeman Str bridge.

And of course drivers are banned from taking buses under there, even single decks, except when operating the 38 service, so no 311 buses have been under there for a couple of years

Find it strange my regular routes, the Bloxwich routes & Dudley routes, after many years as single decks, are having regular double deck operation.

When was the last time Walsall depot regularly had double deckers on Bradford Place routes?

Must be sometime in the early 90's, might even be late 80's?

Might have been when they closed off The Bridge, which was officially on the old 301 Dudley route until then!

Great anomaly there with the 38!

Westy

By the way, are all Walsall drivers type trained on single & double deckers or are we likely to see different drivers from normal when the Dudley goes double deck?

The 305 was regular Metro right up until they retired, There is a photo of an Enviro 400 on the 305 on the main site in 2007

I started last month and have been type trained on everything bar an enviro 200 which was only because there was never any at the garage during the day!

As a guess I would say maybe b7 alx or something to do with the enviros been displaced when the mmc's show up

I would have thought that would be a perfect excuse to reroute the 38 and avoid the odd interval between the Brown Lion and Darlaston?
