Do we think the enviro400 with 97 branding on NXWM's website is a clue as to where some of this year's intake of enviro400's is going??

They use enviro400s for all/most adverts now i think

It appears Rotala may have now have lost some/all of the Signature work in Solihull to Central Buses, these registrations have appeared on VOSA today. As I understand it all the Signature work is Centro tendered, so I wouldn't have thought that they would be competing services, can anyone confirm?

PD1021409/59 - CEN GROUP LIMITED, UNIT 14A, TAMEBRIDGE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, ALDRIDGE ROAD, PERRY BARR, BIRMINGHAM, B42 2TX
        Registration Accepted
        Starting Point: Solihull, Poplar Road
Finish Point: Dorridge (S2)/Hockley Heath (S3)
        Via:
        Service Number: S2
        Service Type: Normal Stopping
        Effective Date: 09-JUN-2013
        Other Details: Mondays to Saturdays.

Worth noting that this registration has the S2 as finishing at Dorridge, so presumably there will be some new service to serve Balsall Common?

Also the registration is for Monday to Saturday only, so who will operate the S3 on Sundays?

According to the NWM Facebook the 82 is a commercial registration so I guess the S2/3 are also.

Been on the 82 a few times the citaro's are fantastic buses and a nice route all round seems very reliable too just wished it was more regular than every hour, is it a commerical service by blue diamond or funded by centro.

Funded by Centro. It is one of the services up for renewal in 2013.

The article also says that Centro are "doing their best to let people know about the consultation". So lets hope they are.

I would like to see if my local service, S10, is due to be renewed at the same time as the rest of the 'S' services. Although the service is partially commercial, some of it is tendered. I and many of the passengers would like to see the service reinstated to half hourly and the timetable reviewed due to the reliability of the service which will no doubt suffer more when the new supermarket opens in Sheldon. However, last year Centro did reinstate the half hourly frequency at 'busy times' so we now have 2 extra journeys to Solihull a day, so i doubt they would reinstate the half hourly in full.

According to the local newspaper, Centro are looking for people's on some services up for renewal in 2013 (I'm guessing April), specifically S2/A/C. S3, S4, S7, S9, 82, 83, 84 and 87.
An online question is available at http://www.centro.org.uk/southsolihull.htm

Not sure whether the others have had ticket machines installed as one passed me in Yardley on Monday morning without one.

2 now have ticket machines fitted I believe. AXH and ANR, which was on the S10 today

One VIP bus I saw on the 966, instead of following the route from the Airport to Solihull, had come straight down the Coventry Road to Sheldon and turned onto Hob's Moat Road to head to Solihull, following the 71 route, with people on board.

A month or so ago it was a diversion also used by NXWM due to a chemical spillage on Damson Parkway. So it could have been this or was it more recently?

No I dont think so. They already operate a shuttle service for them, to a car park near the airport.

The shuttle is being run by the Coach side of the business at the moment, so the buses must be to take over from them then if these are for the Land Rover. Silverline seem to be expanding slowly as they have 2 new Scania Coaches at the Depot which have been delivered recently and I don't think any vehicles have left the fleet. Although none of the new vehicles that have arrived recently are in Silverline livery which is a shame, they're just plain white!

Correct, that shuttle is being ran by the coaches, including the 2 Scanias.  These new buses will be for the new contract.
They have had some vehicles leave the fleet - both W218CDN and T69JBA went for scrap i believe and YN53EWG (if thats the right reg) was sold.
