55 branded omnilink on the 8A this evening

Definitely done this a few times, what I used to do was make it as obvious as possible though, I'd get off at the end of the route, cross over and wait for the same bus back. Lately been getting more subtle about it though, if any drivers out there think "wait he just got off my bus" (cause I'll admit it, I am quite noticeable) there's every chance that yes i am just on for the ride

Service 66 is being increased to every 20 minutes and will terminate at Kingstanding, But Dont know were in Kingstanding.

Will turn the other way out of Finchley rd onto Kings road and up to KS circle

I heard yesterday that the plans for the 952 to go down Foden Road have been scrapped, from someone I know who lives on Foden Road.

If its true then im glad its changed before the service started and them having to find out the hard way

and with the 222 down to every 15 minutes, that will mean it branding will require alteration!

Did wonder about that, they spent how much money on buying new buses specifically for that route and branded them for it, then change it... Makes not a lot of sense

Not to mention why would you spend money on materials earlier than you need to, that would inflate the cost of the job.

But would it also inflate the cost of the job to have to dig up the road twice?

Got on the 10.20 and tbh there was a few fare paying passengers on a W reg Trident. There was 7 passengers at most and I can't see route lasting :-/ shame.

Saw Trident 4851 near New Cross Hospital this afternoon and it had no passengers on it. I can see them withdrawing the Bloxwich-Wolverhampton section

And leaving nx 89 as the sole service between bloxwich and wolves? Wouldnt be surprised, but would be disappointed

I see also that 'Styvechale' turned out to be the popular choice of spelling of 'Stivichall'

Anyone know what Liverpool Lime Street is like for spotting? I should be heading to Water Orton in a few days to record some freight workings

Not gonna lie, I find Lime st a bit boring, might be because I go there a fair bit to visit family but doesn't really seem anything special there these days. Back when Central trains ran the class 310s and 323s all the way to liverpool perhaps it was a bit different

Lol at least in Birmingham they had em in the bloody 70s lol. I can remember the underground gents in Stephenson place, werent to bad. Was there a gents at dale end? Opposite mcdonalds as the ramp goes up to what used to be a market area by the back doors to oasis theres a staircase going down with tiling that looks like a bog

Right, so the same situation this morning, two X51s turn up, get on the first one, same two buses, same driver, and he appears to have got the message to go via Newton Street. Any chance someone can now tell him he also needs to stop at the new "unload only stop"?

had to chuckle to meself, think he may have worked out it was me who emailed nx about it

.... speechless.... Nechells suddenly has less buses during the day and even less in the peak hour!!!
How... just how.... so many people use it in the morning peak out of town and evening peak from town... staggering
I feel a fair portion of my bank holiday weekend will be spent formulating my complaint, I  genuinely am stuggling to find anything in the review of benefit to anyone except those in Pheasey

Just a thought, but anyone remember what the 951 used to be like? First stop Scott arms, then extra stops added at tower hill, cliveden road and Newtown. Pardon me for being pessimistic but... Extra stop now added onto the X51? Genuinely hope it doesn't all go tits up, and doubt it will because the loadings have always been good on it, no matter what day or time of day, but ...

The 951 had far more stops than the X51 has now. It was never first stop Scott Arms in fact it always stopped at Perry Barr, intially the stop closest to the flyover, but later moved one stop towards the Scott Arms. The 951 and X51 have always stopped at Tower Hill, it has never been added, in fact that is and has always been one of the busiest stops on the route.

I'm aware you work for them and know everything but...
Damn sure the 951 used to be first stop Scott Arms, because I remember the Tower Hill stop being added and being excited about it at the time. No offense but im not sure I made up the memory of being excited like that
