I understand that this has been mentioned in a few different topics, but honestly, there should be an opinion on this. Well, what do you think, what other buses should NXWM purchase? And their depot allocations / route they should run on...
A batch of Merc Citaros for some of the high profile single decker routes, maybe to go on routes that will be upgraded to Gold Corridors
I'd also like to see NX return to dual sourcing standard double deckers i.e. Volvo/Gemini & ADL E400's

I doubt its confirmed yet where any of the new buses are going, according to the trade press NX are only just going out to tender for their new vehicle requirements

I may be slightly biased here but I think WB deserve some Citaros if any are ordered. They've had a severe lack of investment in full size single deckers for too long now, with their last new batch, the Omnilinks, being pinched by Walsall.

I think some Volvo B7RLE's delivered to WB next year to replace Mercs on the 48/9 and 83/9 although they will probably turn Fully double deck if geminis cascade fom PB

48/49 and 83/89 to go fully double decker with cascaded Geminis and then maybe the 42/43 to get some new full size singles. Maybe even the 45/46 if they're busy enough.

I'd have thought B7RLE / B8RLE for single deckers & possibly a new batch of Volvo/Gemini to upgrade Dudley Rd cascading the 06 plate Gemini on the Soho Rd. I'd have thought standardising on Volvo products would fit in better with WB's current fleet profile
Personally, i hope they do get some dual door buses, possibly for fast flowing services, like the 37. Merc Citaros would be a great addition to the fleet! NXWM can do with a variety of modernised buses...
My preferations:
>Enviro 200s at PB (Route 654?)
>MCV Evolution, dual door at AG (37, fast flowing buses, etc...)
>Wright Gemini 2 at PB, BC, SW & AG
>More Optare Buses?

The MCV's will be smaller / have less capacity than the current Omnilinks - have you not seen the comments about MCV Evolution build quality and the fact Diamond disposed of 23 nearly MAN examples plus other Dart SLF's
Optare Versa look pretty smart, not sure how they fair for reliability / build quality etc
New B7RLEs to Walsall please. Then 1750-87 to WB. 38 buses. PVR of 40/42/43/45/49/83/89 = 34. You knows it makes sense ;)
(Enviro200s then move from 40 to 47/47A, old deckers on 48)

I think it'd make more sense to just give the new buses to WB considering WA has been pretty well off with new buses over the past few years.

Same too
I know they already had one as a demonstrator (one of the 1908's?) but I would love some Enviro300s at NXWM. They would make a nice alternative to B7RLEs and Omnistinks, and I love anything with the word Enviro in it :P

I think WB doesn't fan of B7RLE because they don't have order of B7RLE. I believe WB garage enjoy order for Citaro on the 405N routes.
Is NEW Citaro too high than OmLinik for route 34/38 in Walsall bridge?
We can see NXWM order a some NEW Citaro for WB and PE. In 2015, Coventry could get up to 30 NEW citaro for replace 0405N and Double Decker with Y reg start to Withdrawn.

WB wont have a choice, they will have to take what new buses management at HQ dictate, that's assuming they are lucky enough to receive more......

Granted, they do look smart, if NX gets some Hybrid Versa's, it would, not only have a distinctive green livery, but also helps the environment! And I haven't really seen those comment :-\ What if they get some MAN EcoCity Buses?
I think it's highly unlikely we'll see NX purchasing any Mercedes Citaros or more Scania Omnilinks.
While they enjoy a good relationship with both Wrightbus and ADL, expect to see more of the same.
A variety of buses might be good for passengers, but from a business point of view, with such a large fleet to maintain and source parts for, it makes sense to reduce the overall number of vehicle/chassis types.

Completely agree
Bottom line they are a business to make profits not to satisfy bus spotters desires for different buses!
They bought Fleetlines for years and years, then Metro's for years and years it would seam it will now be ADL for yeas..well for the mean time anyway
Importing may not be as cost effective as local sourcing, with a good deal probably with ADL help with funding from Centro etc for new buses (or whoever else helps) unlikely I would think they will start buying more expensive Mercs & Scania's

I think he said "I think WB isn't a big fan of the B7RLE's, but it is interesting to see Citaros situated there."
I'm pretty sure individual garages don't get much say on what new buses they get; I expect those kinds of decisions are made at head office, by fleet management and procurement teams.
