Sad to see 1547 going...I rather wish it were 1548/1552, which were noisy engines with worn out bodies.

The batch of thirteen Mercs delivered in the "tartan quilt" livery have seen heavy withdrawals recently. Only 1543, 1546, 1548 and 1550 still left in service now.

According to that page, 11 terminates at Broad Lane (I wonder if it'll stop at the university) and 12 is extended to Leamington Spa. Does anyone else have some info on this one?

Centro sometimes fail to update such route descriptions, the 11 was a long standing bus service between City and Broad Lane until it was withdrawn in the April 2006 bus review. Rest assured there will be no change [for now] to the 11/12 line of route on 5th Jan 2014.

Based on observation earlier in the day the breakdown would of been the 15:42 departure
1548 was back out on the 2/3 again today ::)

1, 2/3, 11/12 will be diverted away from Council house area for 8 weeks while junction and roads are remodelled. 2/3 will operate to city via Corporation St and terminate outside Sainsburys where the 21 stops. ::)

What's the point of changing the route numbers back & forth?
I'm glad to see the 12 coming back as the Cov-Uni-Leam link though.

There is no change to the routes, that must be a mistake on that page. All that's happening is the 'registered term time timetable is being corrected'.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Further to the junction improvements mentioned some time ago around the Westwood Business Park / University of Warwick area, this document was released today:

It suggests that one of the key motives for these is improving bus reliability.

Looks promising to me . I'm just hoping that 18 & 19 don't have their routes altered, they seem to work pretty well nowadays on the whole.

Not completely sure as I visited Pool Meadow only once this week, but I boarded a 3 in Fairfax Street which suggests the 2/3 are going through Pool Meadow to turnaround onto Fairfax St to wait time... then they go around the corner to look out for punters on stand AA, then an odd OAP might get off at Ironmonger Row, then look out for more punters at the next stop in The Burges, what a rigmarole.
