I was told that a 23/4 branded bus and a 97 Trident went over to pensnett
23 - Bartley Green
76 - Northfield
X20 - Birmingham Via Longbridge, Northfield & QE Hospital / University

Told they were at Pensnett? Or told they were on the 9... in which case they were more than likely the morning peak boards that BC run.

They said PN but they probably meant the 9

BC do operate two journeys from Halesowen (07:04 and 07:13 departures) to Birmingham in the morning on a 24 and 97 board. That's probably what your friend saw @mesub.

I had a jaunt over to the QE today ..... the only 'green' bus in service on the Northfield 10s  was 431 and 12 minutes late...the Quinton 10s  was 18 minutes late and flew past the stop without
looking . The bus (755) was empty and only stopped briefly  to speak to the previous 10s driver. where I joined the bus. the service had NO other passengers between the QE and Quinton Tesco.at any time.  How long can you justify a service like that?.....  I did notice the unbranded 6993 on a 74 service ....is 6992 being used on the 74 as well??
Mind the Gap.....?:-)

I personally don't think the 10 has been publicised enough! In top of this, how many variations of the route is there? 3? 10/H/S... Why not have one, do some kind of loop and include places like Weoley Castle which has had services cut... Passengers (potential) need to know that this serives exists first though.

MasterPlan

I was thinking about this before. As they are the routes surely can't continue on. Perhaps you could scrap the 10H and replace it with a 25 extending it to Northfield via West Boulevard and Weoley Castle taking it away from the QE then reroute the 27 to serve Black Haynes Road etc. Or even an X25 operating non-stop along the Harborne Road.
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

The 10H I travelled on from Colmore row to the QE was bang on time. As was the previous one I missed by 15secs an hour earlier!.. I think either of the 10s options from the QE could be scrapped and the 70H service improved to a 30min frequency to Northfield. The public should not be expected to wait for a continually late (or non- existent) service.. The woman who had anticipated the Quinton 10S gave up and called a taxi.......

Would there be much demand for an increased frequency on the 10H between QE and City Centre? The only time I've seen with more than a few passengers on is when something had gone wrong with the X20/X21/X22.
QE to City Centre is covered by the X20/X21/X22 at an every 6 - 7 minute frequency and taking a more direct route.
Hagley Road Routes, 80 and 23/24 in sections are close by and serve other areas of the route.

The only road that doesn't have another service covering it is Monument Road in Ladywood and I've seen a few people get of there when I've used it, so maybe amend/divert something else down there to cover that road and scrap the rest of the route between QE and City Centre.
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

The 10H/S doesn't seem the most punctual of services either

The x10 isn't the greatest for reliability especially at peak
