6883 appears to be the same.

Most of the 23/24 branded ones have also not had their next stop announcements working lately. Can only assume it's because they are soon to be updated. I'm currently on 6946 on the 23 and that has the new female next stop voice.

MasterPlan

Why exactly do they need to be updated? Also, on the subject of announcements I notice there's still none on the X20 at all?
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

So we're finally getting some more consistency with the voice. That's nice.

6862 on the X2 has the new announcements today.
The only difference I noticed, other than the change from the male to female voice is that instead of simply just saying "Solihull Town Centre" and "Solihull Station", like it used to. It now says "Solihull, Station Road - for Solihull Town Centre" and "Solihull Station Interchange".
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

Annoyingly, despite the new voice, towards city on the 23 the Green Man stop is still announced as "High Street" (from city it's Green Man). Misleading as the two main High Street stops have been passed by then, and the stop is on Harborne Road.

Well I suppose you can't have everything perfect all the time.

Do the 23/24 still have the 'Change here for the outer circle' implemented at Serpentine Road in some fashion?

No they don't. Not since the Mr Platinum voice was introduced.

Well actually, it was there before the announcements turned London style (when they repeated 3 times for no reason) but after Mr platinum was introduced:
"Serpentine Road for the number 11 outer circle" when it said it the first time and then
"Serpentine Road for the number 11" for all subsequent announcements.

I still don't understand where they got this posh like voice for that in the first place!

I noted 8354 through the open door at Birmingham Central garage today. It along with 8355/56 makes up the 7 new arrivals (with 765-768) previously reported. Is anyone at liberty to spill the beans as to what the plan is for these?
