I'd have thought it highly unlikely it ever sees further service at PE, must surely be a candidate for an early swap for a 57 reg example.

I'm sure Tony has said that it will have a fleetnumber and registration change before re-entering service. It will more than likely go straight to Yardley Wood after refurb after Easter.

No, I didn't say it would just I thought that it might (my personal view). I have not heard anything official about it.

582 is still in exactly the same spot, doesn't appear to have moved all week

Possibly, though it was a very good one, so my guess is something major needs work/replacement and they are going to try and manage without it

I think the title of this thread should read 'Elusive' - as in buses that manage to avoid us. 

'Illusive' means imaginary, ghostly or unreal.  This applies I think to 244, which I have never seen and therefore I fully expect is a ghostly apparition.  Likewise 3603, 4045 and 4565.

I have been on 244 it was on the 38 between Wednesbury  and Walsall a few months ago and it was quite a plesant ride on it. :)
