Brand new Enviro 200's 2140 (MX12 CEU) and 2142 (MX12 CEY) are operating the 257 today.  An older Dennis Dart was on the 142.

I'd imagine it's just a case of practicality. It's probably the closest garage they can use to operate the new Black Country tendered routes from.

For quickness in establishing a depot. Pete's Travel used the unit(s) they're occupying as a depot, so I presume that the service pits and whatever else they need were still in place.

The garage is in West Brom but none of the routes they operate are.

I believe Arriva won the hourly route 604 (Kingstanding - Sutton - Mere Green).  I'll be very interested to see what's running on that!

Do go ahead still own part of this depot as when i went there the other day there was vehicles from the go ahead subsataries just stitting at theback of the depot?

Yes, Arriva won that contract ive seen 1002/1004 on the 604 on the Kingstanding circle so far ;D
