But isn't the 222 better at PE as its closer to it (Pensnett only 5 minutes away from half of the route) compared to West Bromwich.

Plus with the limitations of space that WB have, they would probably have to transfer another route to PE to compensate.

There's plenty of space. 171 vehicles is easy. There were over 180 in 2005/06.

I confused then because i thought the reason the 53/289 was transferred to PE was because of limited space at WB?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Originally the outstation on oak road was thought to have been closing & a possible new oustation opening by the hawthorns,  along with 16 & 101 possibly moving out of PB but plans change........

Not true, in 2005 the fleet still had a large number of minibuses in the total, and were parked much closer together than is safely allowed now

I'll concede the health and safety business. There were 55+ Mercs in 2005 compared to 33 now. Mercs are longer than the B7TL which have replaced them since which will have created some more space.

Quite surprised this evening to see 824 on the Hagley Rd working the 120  ( I think or it could have been the 140) Only caught a glimpse and was a bit taken aback but it was definitely in service around 7.20pm  just past Five Ways.
