I believe 4202 will have re-again new seat and seat cover because there are too old seat and dirty. I'm not sure 4202 will receive a more new window for replace a lot window got vandalism.

Thanks, think most buses get there seats retrimmed when they go for repaint these days!

Any news on 4197 (refurb), 4202 (repaint) & 4200/1 (still at BC)?

4200 & 4201 still at BC out on the 45/47 today and 4201 was out on the 61/63 yesterday  :)

I wonder if they'll let me buy either 502 or 581 for preservation? ;)

I'm really going to miss them, each PN B6 has/had its own personality and I always loved them :(

I'm soon to lose two of my favourite types of bus in existance, B6s and Metrobuses!

I'd get used to the idea if I were you mate, when I was your age I was gutted with the Lynx's fast disappearing, and the metrobuses since as well.

Its true, i was gutted in July 1977 when the D9s were taken off the 130, only to find out that they were being used on the 294/8/9 which passed my bedroom window.

Was so sad when the D9s, and crew operation ceased at Stourbridge garage.

Strange thing is It doesn't look as if they are replacing anything at WN so we are just gaining extra buses. Only 4135 swapped for 555

The end of the Volvos in '87 was the equivalent for us Sutton crew.  And there was no way of getting info unless you had garage contacts - only word of mouth.

No internet, no text messages, and no mobile phones!  It was fantastic!

As I suspected earlier, the reserve fleet has been moved to allow for preparation work to be undertaken at the bottom of the extra plot of land.

The timber fence behind the reserve fleet has been removed, there is a large high skip on site (as you would find at a council tip), additionally security palisade fencing is currently been erected starting in the bottom corner which extends past the line of the timber fence & on to the plot of land behind the reserve fleet currently un-used. It does appear that extra strip was part of NX's package

582 is parked in the depot (so hasn't gone to WN, must have got my wires cross)

1645 was seen in service of the 205E

Also noticed 4196 on the 246 at Russells Hall's, at least half of the rear nearside windows looked all misted up unless it was etching? Looked a bit of a state....

Interesting, i saw them putting some fencing up last week but just assumed it was to protect the Reserve Fleet, however now, i wonder now whether this extra space will still house the reserve fleet or will it mean extra routes & buses for PE??

It is etching/vandalism Winston. Had a ride on 4195 last week on the 246, that was just as bad, and looking at the windows on the others, they are all heavily vandalised, even 4193, recently refurbished. They do need sprucing up inside
