And PE sent 555 to WN in exchange for 4135 plus then 508/554 and 581 (Maybe 544/582?) transfered aswell.

Yes, but all the PE B6LE's have been released as a result of the 10 ex BC Tridents arriving, 4135 arriving from WN may just have been a one off. If anything else does come from WN, I would think Mercs are more likely than any Tridents from the 4535-4609 batch

Yes i was aware of the B6's being displaced by the tridents but thanks for explaing again clearly
Well i would think atm the B6's are helping cover 4537-4540 which are on stand by to help cover gaps in service during Birmingham tunnel closures.

As you said more Mercs may come over maybe to replace older Mercs?

And may be to bolster numbers to cover the V-Festival services as well as providing strategic reserves for the Tunnel closures.

Yes I'm thinking Mark II Mercs could be displaced to PE to allow the withdrawal of older Mercs without wheelchair ramps

Well most the merc routes at WN (25/7/82 etc) can cope with B6's

Sorry Winston and Nath you are quite correct I don't know what the hell I was thinking of...

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

So, just to clarify, is it?:

19 E400s new to BC

4193 to 4202 to Pensnett
4390, 4393 and 7 others (likely 4358/9/64-68) to Yarlwood.

Yes to the majority, just not sure any decision has been made on where the remainder will go and which Tridents may be leaving BC?

The 82 needs Mercs at the very least, standing loads for a good chunk of the day

Thanks for the info :) Obviously i don't use the 82 enough

Ashley 4569

Im not saying you do or dont use it enough when you need/want to, just from observation that the dudley end is very busy, its why ive only used the service a handful of times due to either having to stand or just get squashed against a window lol

Hahahahahahaha!!!

Damn it Mike K you're hilarious!

But you say 4358 to Yarlwood, would this happen with the recent refurb? Doesn't it get taken out of BC's budget?

I dunno Rat, I thought it was you that first suggested the 43xx would go to YW to fill in the number gaps. With 10 Tridents to PE and 4390/3 already gone it would make sense. Those in charge are keen to keep blocks of numbers together.

I would have thought if PE were to need any more DDs, then surely 4189 - 4192 to keep the numbers in sequence rather than another different type of bus.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).
