I wonder if they'll let me buy either 502 or 581 for preservation? ;)

I'm really going to miss them, each PN B6 has/had its own personality and I always loved them :(

I'm soon to lose two of my favourite types of bus in existance, B6s and Metrobuses!

Also, 4193 is on the 9 today (full board). The first time I have ever seen a NXWM Trident in Halesowen (since I've recognised buses) - one of the strangest things I've seen!

4193 was on am 141 then went on to a pm 9 board from PN

There was a bit of drama on the 246 the other day... http://www.expressandstar.com/news/emergency-services/2013/07/19/bus-mounts-kerb-in-stourbridge-as-driver-passes-out/

Hopefully the driver is OK and it was nothing to serious. I'm hoping if it was weather related, the driver was helping himself and not fasting or anything.

were there any B6s in service today, only one at the depot, 508, which was receiving attention.

only one Trident at the depot, 4135.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Helping himself to what?

As in, keeping himself hydrated. Possibly totally unrelated to this particular story, but if a driver is fasting for Ramadan in this weather, it must have a detrimental effect on their ability to concentrate (which whilst driving can be very problematic). I only need to delay my lunch by an hour and I can feel myself struggling!

There are very few drivers, if any, at Pensnett who look likely to celebrate Ramadan (without wishing to be offensive)

THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH PC BRITAIN. I wish the youth will stop being so scared.

But anyway, he probably never had any drop-back so couldn't drink at the time, the heat builds in these cabs like a cabbage green house and one thing led to another and boom. He'll most likely get sacked for this. Or mysteriously go on sick forever.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.
