Wouldn't tridents on the 140/241 count as downgrading the route by replacing 1 year old vehicles with 10-13 year old vehicles?

I would count it as upgrading with the extra passenger capacity. I'm sure most bus passengers don't care how old the bus is as long as it gets them to where they want to go. If the bus goes past them because it's full, then they can't get to where they want to go

I don't think the 140/241 need doubles all day, but certainly would be useful on the 140 morning and evening peak extras.

A few weeks back on a Sunday the 140 I was on had to stop accepting passengers due to being completely full with standees. The 140 regularly gets full off peak and the 241 although slightly less busy would still benefit from double deckers

My original point still stands, about PN's B6s transferring to Wolverhampton, swapping with a few Tridents for partial double deck conversion of the 140/241

The 25/27/27A don't need Tridents, B6s are better suited, yes there is the issue of hills but if WN's B6s can cope on them then the likes of 581 and 582 could easily

As long as the Tridents were both repainted & retrimmed I think most passengers would be non the wiser and be grateful of the additional carrying capacity

1627, 4196, 1543, 1743 and 4193 on the 246 today. This was at 6:30am so will obviously be more now

544 is on the 243/4 too

4823 seems to have picked up a whistle identical to that of WN Trident 4607

I don't think it would be a good idea for NX to cut the frequency on the 120, because of the threat of competition. Remember Birmingham Coach used to run every 20 mins on the route, and Sunny had a go at the route recently too.

I've lived on the 120 for 10 years. With the amount of passengers the route receives in a short span of time it wouldn't make sense to reduce the frequency. The 120 is every 10 minutes between Birmingham & Oldbury
