Why not take the 241 along the old 297 route?

In other news, 4193 failed on the 246 just past Russells Hall at 2020

Yes having the 241 go via the old 297 route between Halesowen and MH would still be better. Having seen the loading a I still don't think there is justification for the 141 and 241 creating a combined 15 min freq, especially when they are both double decker services!

But that would mean that 140/1 241 would all need to be single deckers?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

That is a fair point, though I don't think interworking 3 big services like that should have ever happened anyway. Unless is it possible to follow the old 297 route but literally just miss station road only. Would that be viable?

Few people used the 297 along the roads no longer served, hence why it was withdrawn

Personally i don't think that missing Station Road out would be viable. As you say interworking 3 big services should never happen, if the 241 could operate on it's own, all problems would be solved as it could easily operate with single declers.

A route manager driving 827 today on 222s. Have they got a shortage of drivers at Pensnett or something?

According to the driver training officer they're desperate for drivers, don't know how true that is though. May have been joking.

4135 now has Enviro 400 rear lights, looks extremely smart, is this a result of one of its many accidents or done at refurb?

It does look very smart. I don't think it had them when it was refurbished

Plus, was 1668 out today, the only bus I didn't find out of the ones I wanted to get

The hanovers on 4198 when it displays 246 Dudley need looking at on the slide that's before via Brierley Hill as the via point on that slide is gobbledygook...

Karl is this work to enable more buses to be stored up there or is it to be used as part of the garage?
