Quote from: Jack on April 21, 2023, 03:24:30 PMCurrently sat on 4757 and thing can't get out of 2nd gear and is really struggling! It's as slow as the Diesel converted E400H.

Wouldnt expect NX to keep vehicles out that are in limp mode...
I was sat on that one on Monday (17/04/23) night while it did the last journey back from Birmingham, it was doing 10-20MPH all the way up Drews Holloway so much so the driver made comment. I believe there was only myself and the driver so who knows if it would have made it with a full standing load.

It crawled up Trindle Road to the Bus Station. Even pulling away from lights there was queues behind it. It reminded of when Diamond vehicles would always be sent out in limp. Passengers were even commenting on it

Word has it West Brom shutting you've lost top yard to the police station and complains from all the houses

The removal of Westbrom garage from the current residential area was part of Sandwell councils white paper many moons a go, the knock down of old Victorian houses and to build assisted living  housing to be built was completed some time a go and the garage was next

I can't imagine that Pensnett would be closed over West Bromwich, WB would be far more costly to run spread over two sites & the main depot being a traditional covered depot building. Also, if you look at the average age profile of PN vs WB, PN has a much lower average fleet age, which suggests PN is more profitable than you're led to believe.

we are never told the whole story, i know WB garage was sold and leased back a while a go and we have the on going saga that is Oldbury relief point its only been 21 years.
Where Stageocach had there temporary Oldbury garage last year looked like an ideal site from what o could see.
Closing the top yard would save quite bit of money i would imagine, sending the 3/3A 12/12A 13/13A to the farm could achieve that, problem would be a lack of drivers willing to move its quite far THE FARM
