MOT

Ah gotcha, does WN do MOTs then, or was it headed elsewhere? Either way, it was odd seeing a 9 branded bus in Wolverhampton.

Any views/comments are my own and do not reflect those of my employer.

They do I believe yes, it was mentioned they have an authorised testing facility.
Coventry do as well, I saw YW 4569 heading in that direction at the Swan yesterday morning, seemingly going for its MOT

There's 732, which is apparently out of use in Dundee at the minute, maybe that will follow 731?
1 would be needed still on the JLR contract at AG, wouldn't it, or would they maybe use a long E200 instead?

Tony

I will be bringing 732 down shortly.
733/734 staying at AG

The older reg e200s seem to be better build quality than the later ones

Do you think so? I've been on the 80x ones on the 636/99/244/19/whatever it is nowadays a few times and I'd say they're the biggest piles of shit I've ever had the displeasure to travel on. Hard to believe that these and the E400MMC, which is a decent enough bus, are made by the same manufacturer.

These older E200 (731 - 734) are Dart E200s @Mike K - Igo have some and claribels have one on the 424.
They're different and older than the 80X's (E20D's).

The 80* are by no means good, however they certainly seem quicker than the 86* ones. I remember BC drivers driving the hell out of the 80* when the 99 ran. BC drivers are the better drivers it seems ;). Look at the standard e400s though, PN old e400s were the best deckers to be made and probably still are. As we reached the 49** series they became sluggish and rattly. Yes the e400mmc isn't a bad bus, and can certainly move if they need to.

I love Walsall buses

Tbh it's a bus It takes you to your destination

If you're lucky. The 07.54 19 from my local stop towards the QE sometimes sails past full because these E200s struggle to cope capacity-wise on some rush hour journeys.

I love Walsall buses

Tbf it's the same on WA29 between 15:20 till 17:00 where there's about 2-3 scania full but when they put a decker on its still full and about quarter of the scania behind is full

WN has an MOT lane.

Stuharris 6360

Looking forward to the new 28 route, restoring the old link between Stourbridge and Cradley Heath that the 240 covered.

If it had been me (lol), I would have asked Diamond if they wanted to give up the 142 and then the 28 could have been a circular service, 28A & 28C.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Has there been any news on what route it will take through Hasbury between Fartherless Barn and Halesowen?
