Chatting to a Pensnett driver at Wolverhampton on Sunday and he told me that 1521, 1648 and possibly 1705 are due for withdrawal very soon due to body corrosion. He really knew his Mercs so we will just have to watch this space and see!! I know 1648 in particular has a very poor body.

There is a B7RLE on the 241 (140+141 too due to interworking) today. Will this still be a commonplace on the 140/241 even with the intetworking with the 141? I have seen a mixture of Tridents and E40p'son the 140/141/241 over the past two days.

1648 has been badly corroded for some time on the lower skirt panels / wheel arches etc and hasn't been refurbished as it was an early NXWM repaint.

1705 just had accident damage repaired o/s/r corner panel so doubt that will be withdrawn yet

Yep have never seen a decker in it since they were taken off. Have the trees never been chopped back or is it now the only route at PE which can't have doubles now? Laughable for such a busy service tbh.

Will pensnett ever operate the 256/257 since they interwork in Stourbridge. Would be nice if the 23.15 256 from wolves to Kingswinford to be extended to stourbridge
