Quick question, how do you get to tour a bus garage, is a certain number or person I got to speak to. Was thinking either pensnett or Wolverhampton?

If you want to have a tour round a garage you need to ring up and they will most likely tell you to write a letter to the garage. However, Agreeing to a visit for you may depend on if they have the time to accommodate you. Remember its a working garage so at certain times access is totally prohibited and they may not have a staff member available.

Luckily for me i know somebody at Park Lane who has known me for years (I had a tour round WN when i was 6), so my mom rang up, then wrote a letter and then they replied saying that they had arranged a visit.

Out of the times I have seen the 241 so far near Merry Hill it hasn't been that busy at all and have only seen 1 or 2 using the upper decks of buses and that's with what looks like space downstairs too. How have other people seen it? Some 297 services looked busier to me!

Same here, saw a 241 leaving Merry Hill this morning with about 4 people on it, i think the 297 being shortened to operate between Gornal and Merry Hill is a mistake.

Wonder if anybody has got caught out yet and caught the 241 to Dudley from Merry Hill!
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Indeed, poor souls if they have when they realise it takes them the wrong way for half the journey! Lol.

Always take the 276 or x96. But yes the 241 loading a have been very underwhelming. But it used to be the 222 that provided a joint 15 min frequency with the 141 didn't it? Wasn't that removed because it wasn't necessary enough in the end? Although the 297 replaced somewhat it was then obviously changed to what it was before the most recent changes. So again, is the 15 minute Combined frequency just not necessary? And that's just NXWM's efforts!

I think the 222 being cut short & the 297 extended to Halesowen to cover that section was more down to unreliability of the 222

Fair enough. Certainly so far two double deck routes not needed IMO though.

824 on 205 at Pensnett heading for Kingswinford.

TinnedPeaches

Double-decker seen on the 297 today. Don't think I've seen one on it before! Didn't catch which ALX400 it was though - I was driving.
