maybe 244 to Halesowen then 4h to Hayley green and back then 244 to Dudley 😉

Are PN likely to lose any E200's with the 243/4 frequencies being reduced & the 244 being curtailed at Halesowen?

sonic84

So looking at the route it will follow the diamond 4H towards Hayley Green as far as the Hagley Road, and then will turn into Rosemary Road and operate as the existing 244 via Bassenage Road and High Farm Road towards Halesowen.

Should be interesting!  I suppose it is no different to when the Diamond 4H used to run direct via Coombes Road and the NXWM 4H went via Lodgefield Road

Cough* trying to steal passengers from diamond. Surely just the 244 route would have been better?

Yes @Trident 4194 , but how many times in the past has it been the reverse. If passengers think that Diamond provide the better service, they will continue to use Diamond.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

dont forget the 244 might go somewhere else so might need some more e200 from bc and there's talk the 205 might go to e200 as well so we might loose two b7 single deckers

Do you know how far the 244 is going from Halesowen? Surprised me that the 289 isn't operated by e200.

If that 244 is extended at a later date and it involves the 99, I'll believe that when I see it. I've lost count of how many years the 99 has been transferring to PN.

TfWM don't know anything about the 244 going any further than Halesowen from 26.2.17

Accepted it is very much like NX competing against Diamond now, but think of it this way:
Currently situation means people along the route have to chose which side of the road to wait for a bus to Halesowen, but with the change there is none of that and all the buses go the same way round the loop, so less confusion for passengers.
Granted, they go a different way into Halesowen from the Hagley Road
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

You said 'the 244 might go somewhere else....' in reply to my comment about there being spare E200's which would be from end of Feb.

There is a route & timetable change registered for the 99 from 26.2.17, but TfWM service changes doesn't know anything about the 244 going any further than Halesowen.

£100! You're obviously not very confident.....

Fair enough, but why not do everything at the same time instead of keep messing about with routes, doesn't seem to make sense.
