When they are all delivered and on the road all five buses will be on the 9 to go against the mmc so both bus types can be tested against each other on the same route
will the spare mmc be going on x10 or any service from pensnett

I dont get this bit, I understand the logic of comparing vehicle types but isn't that the whole point of acquiring 3301 and putting it on the 9 to see how it fares against MMCs ? How does having another 4 vehicles (Unless they arrive modified) make any distinctions between the types clearer ?

I'm guessing, but 5 buses would give a better sample - where you're dealing with fuel consumption figures in the single figures, and availability figures/maintenance costs, marginal variation across vehicles could result in inaccurate information if only one vehicle is tested (against 22 in this case) - more vehicles would provide more conclusive results and a more sound investment case.

Presumably they'll monitor the performance of the 5 Wrights against 5 specific MMCs.

I'm assuming initial figures are positive from 3301 as they've bought 4 additional buses. 4698 was also a seed vehicle and it prompted an order of nearly 250 buses from ADL.

Assuming they're for the 9 it'll mean on the 9 will be a mix of streetdecks and branded MMC's which by extending that logic would mean more MMC's willl appear on other PN routes not that they don't anyway.

Popped round to PN as haven't been for a while, no sign yet of 3302 -5.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

3302 has arrived.

Before  200 entries in the buses to find thread, it won't be in service for 8 days

To await the new month to tax it, sensible!

@Tony, are PN likely to loose 4 buses to make way for these Streetdecks?

I'd imagine a number of systems would need to be installed as well such as wayfarer and CCTV although 8 day window period should allow for everything to make it an NX road worthy vehicle

Are we likely to be getting anymore of these?

Depends on if the Brexit makes northern Ireland reunite with southern Ireland.
