where do you think

Not an issue at the moment, unless NE win any money from the Green Bus Fund, very very doubtful that any garage will get any hybrid buses.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Neither. I don't like the Hybrids. They're best for stop-start routes, I don't really have enough route knowledge to say which routes are stop-start
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A
Semi-local routes: 54, 80, 87

Most used routes in bold

The 11 instantly springs to mind, especially at rush hour
The Coventry 11 would suit hybrids I think. You should add Coventry as an option, but as it's not, I voted pensnett as they have the worst fleet and would benefit from newer buses.
Favourite buses currently:
871, 1828, 4421, 4764, 6101, 6108, 6116, 6118, 6121, 6848, 6849
Least favourite buses currently:
4203, 4213, 4398, 4419

Pensett's fleet is pretty good now - they have the Wright Eclipse 2s, Enviro 200s, Enviro 400s and Tridents. Soon as the Mercs go it will be a pretty young fleet. YW is the garage which needs attention - nothing new for 4 years now - with WB now receiving a bunch of Enviro 400s and 200s, YW must surely have the oldest average fleet age now?

Coventry 11/12 - stupid route for hybrids, they wouldn't be able to cope with the required fast running

Secondly Pensnetts fleet is only thought of by you as rubbish as the allocation consists of nothing that appeals to you

The bigger questions are do we need more hybrids and where does the money come from?

seeing how often from new at wn both volvo and adl have been towed in so far, esp the ex bc ones, i think it would be better sticking with conventional buses powered by diesel, as they can get more vehicles for the same outlay in cost saving. im commenting my theory on the basis that there was no funding for the hybrids, i can see how if they cover the additional expense through the funding its all well and good.

as for garage type, surely if any more were to appear it would be better to standardise so ill go against the grain and say if they have any more it would be better to either send them to bc or wn as engineering already have the training and expertise to maintain the type

That's what type training is for ;)

And why can't hybrids cope with going fast? If they're as good as they are made out to be, it wouldn't  be a problem for them to go on the 11/12.

Hybrids really aren't ideal for "fast" routes - the Enviro Hybrids can't get much past 40-45mph I think.

If NXWM transferred their entire hybrid fleet to AG for the 11, the environmental benefit which could be claimed would surely be huge, just based on the number of major intersections with Birmingham's radial roads and resulting congestion. (Albeit very unpopular in Harborne, Dudley, Sedgeley and Wolverhampton  ;D )
