I can happily say that all number 3 services I had cause to use and also see today were bang on time, hopefully this is a sign of improvement  :)

Currently waiting with about 25 people for the 1710 number 3 service to Stourport - anyone know what's going on? Some people have mentioned an accident?

Well, I can answer my own question. The bus did indeed have an incident on its way into Kidderminster from Stourport, reportedly crashing into a bush or front garden on the Birchen Coppice estate. The 25 or so people waiting eventually dispersed into lifts or taxis and I started to walk home along the route. I was keeping an eye out for a replacement bus which I didn't expect would happen on a Sunday at 6pm or indeed the original bus if it was fixed or back on the road. As I was walking near Birchen coppice at about 1803 the 15 plate Streetlight went hurtling past (having obviously been sent from Redditch) so I couldn't hail it. I tried to run and catch it up went it turned and doubled back onto the estate but had no chance. Then two recovery vehicles, one towing a slightly dented 2nd Streetlight with destination and headlights still on went past coming off the estate. So the first bus did crash.

Whilst I was slightly frustrated at waiting 40 mins, then missing the replacement bus (I eventually managed to get a lift home), I can only commend Diamond for running a replacement service on a Sunday evening. Its a shame there was no way to tell the 25 people it was on its way so most of them gave up but still well done Diamond in the circumstances. I saw the replacement bus leaving Stourport for Kidderminster just after 1830 so leaving Kidderminster it would have been about 45 minutes late to Redditch (scheduled 1804). Not bad considering it had been scrambled from Redditch at short notice probably just before 5pm.

I assume with all the withdrawn stuff & an operational fleet of 31/32, KR must be pretty full at night/Sunday's now

@Winston When I passed on Tuesday the depot was rammed with dead buses it's getting ridiculous now at this rate when the non DDA Darts are withdrawn in January the depot will be full with just dead buses. There are still aposomely 20 non DDA darts still in service with Diamond across all depots.

@Reece I thought that would be the case, it seems like Rotala like First will be going right to the wire to remove the remaining non DDA stuff

@Winston I think that will be the case because not one of the brand new Diamond Streetlites have even arrived at Heysham docks yet. Which is a bit concerning.
