71A Sutton - Castle Vale effectively withdrawn, 71 rerouted away from Farnborough Road to go through the centre of Castle Vale, and 71 frequency said to be increasing to 15 minutes (the latter two details from an overheard conversation between two ladies on the 71A this morning).

638 renumbered 38 and re-routed via the Fort, but still just Erdington - Castle Vale.

Points to a reduction in service, therefore, on the 71 corridor between Asda Minworth and Sutton Coldfield ......

Was in here some time ago, the NX director said. The 71 is being made into a 15min service across the whole route, so will be a consistent improvement on that section. Changes at the Solihull end will mean a 7/8 between Solihull and C Wood. I am sure someone else will dig out the detail for you. There is loads including the 90 bein made into the 70 bla bla bla

The 71A is down to 3 schoolday journeys only. It does say from Castle Brom to Castle Vale, so it looks like it will no longer serve Sutton. Wonder if Perry Barr will still run them or they will be took over by Acocks Green

I'm thinking they may be taken over by AG, then the surplus buses from the 71A & frequency reduction on the 638 could transfer to AG for increased frequencies on both the 71 & 72

If they do transfer Buses from PB to AG when these changes come into force it'll probably be the Ex Dundee Omnilinks
60 Birmingham - Cranes Park
72/72A Solihull Station - Chelmsley Wood
73 Solihull - Heartlands Hospital
X1 Birmingham - Coventry
X2 Birmingham - Solihull Station
A10 Solihull - Cranes Park / Chelmsley Wood

Interesting to see some journeys on tendered routes have been withdrawn due to poor patronage. It seems that the 243 will only be operated by Diamond in the evenings as opposed to evenings and Sundays
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A

I meant logo wise,  other than the branded 97's/37's parked at the back of Long Acre I havent seen any other bus with a CC Logo  :) therefore it should say BD

The company Centro deal with is still Central Connect. They hold the operator license. Are you going to tell VOSA they are wrong for putting the registrations under the name Central Connect.

Incidently who is BD you refer to? The trading name of the local Rotala Companies is just Diamond now.

Ill miss the 71A in its current format, best route to get a PB ALX B7 without the masses of riff raff

Am quite surprised they are keeping the 240 going, cancelling a couple of journeys because of low patronage, if you go on that rule, 99% should be cancelled.

The only part of the route that possibly need looking at if it were withdrawn would be between Lye Cross and Grange Road, but that could be covered by a diversion on the 298/9.
