John

It was nice of Johnsons to completely block all of the bus stops on The Priory Queensway this morning with at least 10 of their coaches parked up. Our inspector didn't look too happy either

jc

Makes a change from NX stand blocking really then doesn't it! Even though I drive for NX, the amount of times I have had to use another stand or run round town or just wait!

I believe the X20 is mainly, perhaps totally commercial.  Warwickshire did financially support it for several years but Johnsons decided to go commercial a little while ago.

As 2206 says, the only change to the X20 in September will be the withdrawal of the Sunday service - which will mean that Johnsons will no longer run buses on Sundays.
Johnsons timetable now says, the X20 Sunday Service will now continue until till Sunday 31st December 2017.

Might be worth trying to get a trip in on the old 150 before it is split in the new year. I imagine the Worcestershire section is particularly scenic

drp123

Johnson's has one of their double deckers on the 150 yesterday morning. Spotted in kings heath between 930 and 10. Couldn't see which one as I was driving st the time.

jc

They have been on there all week, Tuesday, there was 2 on Rail Replacement in Wolverhampton and one on the 150.

Not particularly sure on what is going on here but there are timetables starting on the same date already available on the Johnsons website.

Is the X20 still or partly subsidised by WCC? Or is it all commercially run?

Justin Tyme

The Sunday service on the X20 is a Warwickshire CC contract.  The Mon-Sat service is either mainly or totally commercial.
