Short journey.
Meaning it's terminating earlier than scheduled somewhere on the route.

It originated as meaning exception not just short

A prime example of this is PB46 - which has an 'E' blind beyond One Stop to Perry Barr Bus Garage.

Another example is the 12A, becomes the 12E on a night and only does Birmingham to Oldbury. Operated by WB.

73's being diverted away from Horell road this morning. I could not see why when travelling on the route but the driver suggested an accident was the cause.

I travelled on 734 on the A12 this morning and it seemed strange to go on a NXWM vehicle with a non standard interior. I don't think there have been any second hand vehicles in the fleet of NXWM or any of its predecessors since the last DMS's were withdrawn in 1986.

The second hand Leyland Nationals superceded the DMSs, I think 1745 was the last, ex Ribble running until 1997

Weren't there also newer Daf Optares single deckers acquired with Yourbus that ultimately could be classed as second hand on takeover by WMT? Maybe other vehicle types too.

Was Walsall 101 (the bus that was usually on the 999 service) secondhand or did it arrive new from a dealer?
